International Folk Dance
And again, we gladly added our most recent dance form, the generically titled International Folk Dance.
An evening of international folk-dance features easy traditional dances from countries all over the world, including Israel, Ireland, Bulgaria, French Canada, China, Italy, Greece, England, and more. Fifth Reel, with Connie Michael on piano, Norm Ashley on fiddle, and Mick Wilson on clarinet provides live world music. International folk dances vary in tempo and in formations: different kinds of circles, lines, and sets, and speeds from slow and elegant to fast and even a bit frenetic. A caller will teach each dance before the music starts and coach the dancers as needed. International Folk Dance prices are $10 Adults, $7 for students over 18, $5 for ages 10 to 17.
